Dropmatch is our app. It’s published by Aryios, which also publishes this site. What we write about Dropmatch is checked against its code.
The other apps are described from their own listings. Every feature and price below comes from each app’s page on the Shopify App Store, read on 13 October 2026. We didn’t install them, and we don’t quote reviews.

Hextom’s listing mentions resizing, cropping, compression and PNG to JPG conversion. AltText.ai’s listing says it runs on each product you create or update.
Where Dropmatch is strongest
One pass for a new batch of photos. Matching to existing products, new draft products for the rest, alt text and SEO file names, resizing and format, all in the same app and without a spreadsheet.
Nothing is overwritten. New photos go after the existing ones, so main images stay in place, and existing SEO titles and meta descriptions are never replaced.
You stay in control. Everything is reviewed before it’s sent, uncertain matches wait for your decision, and a whole batch can be undone.
Clean files. Photos are resized, converted and cleaned of camera and location data before they reach your store.
Where other apps do better
Price, for simple uploads. If your files are already named by SKU and you only need the photos attached, BL Bulk Product Image Uploader and SyncFlow cost less.
Variants. BL Bulk Product Image Uploader and SyncFlow attach photos to variants. Dropmatch adds them to the product.
Product descriptions. Listagrow AI Product Listing writes them, with titles, tags and SEO fields. Dropmatch never writes descriptions.
Images already online. AltText.ai and Hextom work on the images already in your store, and AltText.ai runs automatically on every product you create or update. Dropmatch only works on the photos you drop into it.

Which app is the cheapest for attaching photos by SKU?
According to their listings on 13 October 2026, BL Bulk Product Image Uploader ($3.99 a month for unlimited uploads) and Bulk Image Upload by SyncFlow ($10 a month) cost less than Dropmatch if file names already contain a SKU and you only need the photos attached.
Which app writes product descriptions?
Among these seven, Listagrow AI Product Listing generates descriptions, titles, tags and SEO fields from photos. Dropmatch never writes product descriptions.
Which app attaches photos to variants?
BL Bulk Product Image Uploader and Bulk Image Upload by SyncFlow mention variants on their listings. Dropmatch adds photos to the product, not to variants.
Can I use Dropmatch with Matrixify or an alt text app?
Yes. Dropmatch only works on the photos you drop into it. A spreadsheet tool can handle prices, stock and variants, and an alt text app can handle images that were already in your store.
What does a dash mean in the table?
