Dropmatch (“the app”) helps Shopify merchants attach their product photos to the right products, with alt text and file names. It is operated by ARYIOS SAS (SAS with a share capital of €100, registered in Bourg-en-Bresse (RCS 949 389 738)) (“we”). This policy explains what the app handles, why, and for how long.

The short version

• We never access your customers’ data — no names, emails, addresses or orders.
• We don’t keep your photos. They are deleted as soon as they’re in your store, and 24 hours after upload at the latest.
• Location and camera data are removed from every photo as soon as it arrives, and the original file is never stored.
• We don’t sell or share your data for advertising.
• Uninstalling the app deletes your photos immediately, and everything else within 48 hours.

What the app handles

• Your store’s identity and access: your store address and the access token Shopify gives the app, so it can act on your behalf.
• A copy of your product list: titles, handles, SKUs, barcodes, product types, status and SEO fields — used only to find which product each photo belongs to.
• The photos you upload, temporarily (see below).
• What the app writes: alt text, file names, SEO titles and descriptions, and a record of what was added to which product, so you can review it and undo it.
• Usage: how many photos were described, for your plan and credits.
• Your store’s email address is read from Shopify only when we send you an alert that photos are about to be deleted. It is not stored.

Your photos may show people — for example models wearing your products. We treat them as personal data, which is why we don’t keep them.

How long we keep it

• Photos: deleted as soon as they’re sent to your store, and 24 hours after upload at the latest. You can reset that timer up to three times. The text work (matches, alt text) is kept so that dropping the same files again restores it.
• Everything else: kept while the app is installed, so you can see your history and undo what the app did.
• When you uninstall: photos are deleted immediately. All remaining data is erased when Shopify sends us the store deletion request, 48 hours after uninstalling.

Who processes it for us

• Google (Gemini API) analyses each photo to write its alt text and file name. Photos are sent to Google for that purpose only.
• Hostinger (servers in Germany) runs the app and stores photos during their short life.
• Neon (servers in Germany) hosts the database.
• Resend sends the alert emails, when enabled.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what we hold about your store, to correct it, or to delete it. Uninstalling the app starts the deletion automatically. For anything else, write to support@aryios.com. If you are in the European Union, you can also contact your data protection authority.

If we change how the app handles your data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
